“Flying Around The Sun”, a radio program that airs each Thursday night at 9:00 pm on WJOB AM 1230 that
focuses on songwriters and bands from Northwest Indiana who perform original music, present a concert that
features local band Nomad Planets along with special guests Jodi Rosenthal and Steven Aguilar on Saturday,
December 3 at Beer Geeks, 3030 45th Street in Highland. Admission for this 21 and over event is free with at
least one non-perishable food item per person. Proceeds will benefit the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. Doors
open at 9:00 pm; the show begins at 10:00 pm.

This is not the first time that Mark Mybeck and Phil Rapchak, co-hosts of Flying Around The Sun and bandmates
in Nomad Planets, have been associated with an event that involves the Food Bank. “This is our fourth annual
holiday show that benefits the Food Bank”, said Mybeck. “We're proud to be from Northwest Indiana and are
happy to carry on this tradition that has become more and more important to us each year!”
"It's vital to give back to our community”, Rapchak continued. “We want to make this show a very special one,
especially with so many more of our neighbors in need at this time. Beer Geeks is an excellent venue, and we’re
sure that everyone who attends is in for a great evening.”

Nomad Planets have released three CD’s of original music during their fifteen-year existence. They have
garnered radio airplay on WXRT, WKQX and WGN in Chicago and have showcased their talents at venues as
diverse as Taste of Chicago, Martyr’s, The Abbey Pub and Pierogi Fest, and they recently opened for .38 Special
at this year's Festival of the Lakes in Hammond. Nomad Planets has received glowing reviews for “You’re Never
Lost Until You Panic,” their most recent release on The Fairbanks Label.
Jodi Rosenthal is the vocalist, pianist and co-founder of local original band Lying Delilah. The band has released
three albums since their inception in 2005, with the most recent being “Return The Love” in 2011. Jodi often
faces comparisons to female songstresses Fiona Apple and Tori Amos due to her heart melting and jaw dropping
vocal talents.

Steven Aguilar is one half of Temporary Distraction, an acoustic duo from Hammond that is known for graceful
melodies, delicate guitar interplay and exquisite harmony vocals. The band is currently working on recording its
debut release.
